HOW TO DEPOSIT A CHECK WITH NO SIGNATURE On the line where the signature would normally go, write or type the word "over" and nothing else. On the back of the check, write "lack of signature guaranteed." Then add your companies name, your name and your title. Then sign it (still on the back of the check). This guarantees YOUR bank that you will accept the chargeback if the check isn't honored. Almost all banks will now process the check and deposit the funds into your account. Now you don't have to go to all of the trouble of contacting your customer and asking for another signature. ATM ERRORS, HOW TO "BEAT" THE BANK The first thing you have to do is report the error. You have 60 days from the date the error appears on your statement. There is something called the Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA) that says that the bank must now investigate and report to you within 10 working days. If the bank needs more time however, they can take another 45 days to complete their investigation. But... they must deposit the funds in question into your account within 10 business days of the day it chooses to extend the investigation.
